TEMPE, Ariz. (UNLVRebels.com) -- No. 14 UNLV women's golf is 14th after the first round of the PING/ASU Invitational. The Rebels turned in a score of 8-over-par 296 at the par-72, 6,233-yard, ASU Karsten Golf Course on Friday.

Arkansas leads all teams as the Razorbacks turned in a first-round score of 4-under-par 284. Duke is second at 2-under 286 and host Arizona State is third at 1-under 287. South Carolina, Stanford and Arizona are tied for fourth at even-par 288.

Freshman Harley Dubsky leads the Rebels and is in a five-way tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard after posting a 3-under 69. The round marked the eighth time this season that she has turned in a score of par or better.

Duke's Leona Maguire sits atop the individual leaderboard after turning in a 6-under 66. Alabama's Lakareber Abe and Stanford' Lauren Kim are tied for second at 4-under 68.

Also competing for the Rebels is senior Dana Finkelstein, who turned in a score of 3-over 75 and is tied for 53rd. Freshman Mackenzie Raim is tied with Finkelstein and eight others for 53rd after turing in a score of 3-over 75. Sophomore Avery French is tied for 70th at 5-over 77 and senior Mayko Chwen Wang is 87th at 12-over 84.

The 15 teams and 87 individuals will play the second round on Saturday. UNLV will be paired with San Diego State and Oklahoma for the second round and the teams will tee off at 8:36.
