Jan. 27, 2016 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's track and field's Kaysee Pilgrim has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition, as voted on by the UNLV communications department.
Transferring to UNLV after winning three NJCCA national titles in two years of competition at Pima Community College (Tucson, Ariz.), Pilgrim made an instant impact in her first official meet as a Rebel. She broke the program's indoor high jump mark with a measurement of 5-10.75 (1.80m), which was also good enough for first place, at NAU's Friday Night Duals in Flagstaff.
