LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The Cox Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center will play host to a UNLV Athletics' tripleheader Saturday. Action gets underway at 2:00 pm when the UNLV volleyball team hosts the Nevada, Reno Wolf Pack inside the Cox Pavilion. The Lady Rebels and Runnin' Rebels will follow with a pair of contests on Tarkanian Court at 4:00 pm (USC Women of Troy) and 7:00 pm (Cal State Fullerton Titans), respectively.
Prior to the volleyball match, UNLV will recognize its six-member senior class -- Natalie Bulen, Bree Hammel, Carly Riehl, Sadie Stutzman, Alyssa Wing and Elisa Woinowsky -- for their time representing the Scarlet & Gray.
Additionally, the Silver State matchup between the Rebels and Wolf Pack is the only one scheduled for 2016, which means Saturday's victor will be awarded the three points associated with the sport of volleyball towards the Governor's Series presented by NV Energy and Barrick Gold standings. Since the all-encompassing head-to-head athletic and academic challenge came into existence beginning with the 2012-13 school year, the UNLV volleyball team has won seven of eight meetings and, in turn, claimed 10.5 of 12 points to assist the Scarlet & Gray in four straight Governor's Series victories.
Fans, please be advised that the 215 Beltway will be closed in both directions at the airport connector and you will have to find alternative routes to Saturday's slate of action.
