LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV softball's Alyssa Batastini has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition, as voted on by the UNLV communications department.

Batastini was named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week for her performance in the UNLV Classic. Over the weekend the freshman pitched 14.2 innings over four games with one start and three relief appearances, allowing only nine hits, four walks and two unearned runs with four strikeouts for a 2-0 record and 0.00 ERA.
