May 11, 2016 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV baseball's Kyle Isbel has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition, as voted on by the UNLV communications department.
In a three-game series against MW-leading New Mexico, Isbel scattered nine hits for a .600 average and also produced seven RBI and four runs. In game one - an 8-6 win, he went 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI - both scores occurred in an inning (third) where he had two hits. In the second affair - a 6-2 loss, he had two hits and one RBI.
