June 15, 2016 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's track and field's Kaysee Pilgrim has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition, as voted on by the UNLV communications department. Pilgrim has won the weekly accolade three times, the most by any Rebels this year.
The junior finished 11th overall in the high jump on the fourth and final day of the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. Pilgrim's best jump measured 5-10 (1.78m), which placed her in a four-way tie in 11th.
