LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's tennis team picked up its second win of the day by shutting out Pacific 7-0 in the second half of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

UNLV opened the afternoon by sweeping the singles matches to forge a 6-0 lead. Carol Yang, ranked 48th in the nation, defeated Maayan Sela 6-0, 6-4 at the top of the lineup; Aiwen Zhu got by Anneroos Nederstigt 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2; Paola Artiga eased past Anna Ramos Vinolas 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3; Anna Bogoslavets soared by Rodriguez, Sabrina Rodriguez 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4; En-Pei Huang eased by Christiana Ferrari 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5; and Jovana Kenic defeated Yuki Asami 7-5, 6-2 on court six.

The hosts also did not lose a set in doubles play. Aiwen Zue and En-Pei Huang downed Sela and Nederstigt 6-2 at No. 1, while Carol Yang and Cristina Moroi defeated Ferrari and Asami 6-3 at the second spot.

Weather permitting, the Rebels are right back on the courts Sunday when they host Weber State, starting with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admission to all UNLV home matches is free of charge.
