April 12, 2017 2017 UNLV BSB Weekly Notes "Liability Waiver for "Bark in the Park"
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV baseball team returns to Las Vegas and Earl E. Wilson Stadium for a four-game homestand that begins Thursday night and runs through Tuesday. This home stretch features three Mountain West contests against the San Diego State Aztecs as well as a nonconference tilt with the Arizona State Sun Devils.
The Rebels are familiar with both of these upcoming opponents, as they have already played them a total of five times; albeit, each contest took place on the road. UNLV and SDSU squared off three times March 17-19 while ASU served as host on two occasions, March 28 and April 11.

ON DECK: The UNLV baseball team will stay in Las Vegas for a Tuesday night affair against the Arizona State Sun Devils. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 pm for the contest billed as a "$2 Tuesday" that allows fans to purchase tickets and hot dogs for $2 apiece while beer will be discounted by $2.
NATIONALLY SPEAKING: The UNLV baseball team has scattered 387 hits and, in turn, produced a .306 batting average to rank fifth and 22nd nationally, respectively, in those two categories. The hit haul also ranks first in the Mountain West.
Due to their hit total, the Rebels sit 66th in slugging percentage (.426) and 83rd in on-base percentage. Their 12 triples have them sitting 20th while their 67 doubles place them at No. 38.
The Scarlet & Gray also sits 79th in runs scored with 202 while it is 114th in scoring with an average of 5.8 runs per game.
Individually, Ernie De La Trinidad comes in sixth in hit-by-pitch (13), 48th in hits (48), 50th in triples (three), 68th in on-base percentage (.467)99th in batting average (.372).
Payton Squier (48th/48) and Kyle Isbel (87th/46) are also in the top 100 in hits.
