LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV baseball team hits the road for a three-game, Mountain West series against the New Mexico Lobos in Albuquerque, N.M., this weekend. The first contest is slated for Friday evening (6:30 pm MT/5:30 pm PT) at Santa Ana Star Field while the second and third affairs will take place Saturday (2:00 pm MT/1:00 pm PT) and Sunday (12:00 pm MT/11:00 am PT).
The Rebels and Lobos squared off nearly one month ago in Las Vegas, and the squad from the Duke City won all three games.

ON DECK: The UNLV baseball team returns to Las Vegas for its final midweek series of the season with a visit from the Portland Pilots next Tuesday (6:05 pm) and Wednesday (2:05 pm).

Tuesday, April 25 - "$2 Tuesday": Fans can purchase tickets and hot dogs for $2 apiece while beer will be discounted by $2.
Wednesday, April 26 - "Strike Out Bullying Game": Fans wearing white to support bullying awareness can purchase tickets for $3 ... The first 150 fans through the gates will receive a free ice cream sandwich courtesy of Anderson Dairy.
ALTERNATING HOME & AWAY: Beginning with this past Tuesday's game against Arizona State, the UNLV baseball team will alternate either playing at home or on the road. In all, the Rebels have six more series - a total of 17 games - starting with a road trip to New Mexico (April 21-23) and ending with San Jose State (May 18-20) at home. In between the UNM and SJSU series is a midweek set (two games) vs. Portland (April 25-26) that will be followed by Seattle (April 28-30/road), Fresno State (May 5-7/home) and Nevada, Reno (May 12-14/road).
NATIONALLY SPEAKING: The UNLV baseball team has scattered 433 hits and produced a .307 batting average to rank ninth and 21st, respectively, in those two categories amongst NCAA Division I programs. The hit haul ranks second in the Mountain West, while the average is third best in the Conference.
With assistance from the hit total, the Rebels sit 47th in slugging percentage (.443) and 79th in on-base percentage (.376). They are in the top 100 in all three extra-base categories: 18th in triples (14), 33rd in doubles (76) and 98th in home runs (29).in 73rd in runs (231) and 110th in scoring (5.9).
