LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Three UNLV men's soccer players were named to the 2016-17 Academic All-WAC freshmen/transfer teams, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The three freshmen are Las Vegas native Jason Eng, Tyler Allen (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Timo Mehlich (Monchengladbach, Germany). All were key members of last year's Rebel squad that won the 2016 WAC Tournament and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

To be eligible for WAC academic honors, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
