Rebels Play Final WAC Road Games Of Season

UNLV faces UMKC, Houston Baptist this weekend.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's soccer team's long road adventure of 2018 is almost finally over, as the Rebels will play their final two road games of the regular season this weekend with matches at UMKC Friday (5 pm PT) and at Houston Baptist Sunday (11 am). All three teams are fighting to one of the top seven spots in next month's WAC Tournament as well, putting even more importance on both games.

Friday and Sunday will mark the 11th and 12th games of the year for UNLV away from its home field, as the Rebels began the season with eight of their first 10 on the road. The good news for the Rebels is they will end the regular season with a three-game homestand.
UNLV comes into the weekend with some momentum after scoring three unanswered goals for a 3-2 win over Incarnate Word, that put the Rebels into a tie for seventh in the WAC. UMKC meanwhile is on a three-game losing streak, and has scored just two total goals in its past five games. The Kangaroos have had better success on their home field, with a 2-4 record and a 1-0 victory over SJSU in their last home action against a conference foe.

Houston Baptist meanwhile began conference play with a 2-0 win over second-place Utah Valley, but have gone just 1-3-1 since. The Huskies have allowed at least two goals in four of their past five games as well.

Both games will be streamed live and carried by the WAC Digital Network which will be available on UNLVRebels.com as well as through the Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android streaming devices.
