STAT OF THE GAME:Â UNLV shot 52.5 percent from the field for the game (31 of 59). It was the first time this season the Runnin' Rebels shot over 50 percent.
QUOTABLE:Â "I was very proud of our effort defensively. We still had a lot of breakdowns and we are going to need to have fewer on the defensive side in order for us to be an elite team. Offensively, I thought we went for home runs more than we should have, especially in the second half. Very happy with the result but not totally satisfied. It was a positive step in the right direction and we will continue to grow."Â -Â UNLVÂ Head Coach Marvin Menzies
