Everyone is invited to join the UNLV football team in celebrating a ceremonial painting of the famed Fremont Cannon Monday on campus.
The famous rivalry trophy will turn from blue to Rebel Red after UNLV's thrilling, come-from-behind 34-29 victory over in-state rival UNR Saturday night at Sam Boyd Stadium.
The cannon returns to live in Las Vegas after spending the last two years in the northern portion of the Silver State.
On Monday, the Rebels will accompany the Fremont Cannon on a trek from the Lied Athletic Complex to the UNLV Student Union where it will be on full display in the amphitheater at Valerie Pida Plaza at approximately 11 a.m.
Fans are welcome to join in along with the campus community as we welcome our prized Cannon back to Southern Nevada.Â
