Hall Named Outstanding Rebel Of The Week

March 14, 2018
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's golf junior Harry Hall has been named the Outstanding Rebel of the Week presented by Air Force Reserve, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletic Communications department.

Hall, from Hayle, England, led the Rebels to a fourth-place finish at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas last week, which featured one of the toughest fields in all of college golf. Four of the nation's top-10 teams were included this year and nine of the top 30. Hall finished second at the event, which matched his career best. He was 6-under-par 210 for the tourney, just two shots back of the individual medalist and top-ranked player in the country, USC's Justin Suh. He recorded book-end rounds of 3-under 69 with an even-par 72 during the second round. Both of his rounds of 69 were bogey-free and for the week he tallied eight birdies with just two bogeys. It was the junior's best finish of the year in eight events. For his performance, he was named Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Week for the first time this season and for the third time in his career.

Hall and the Rebels will be back in action at the end of the month, competing at Stanford's The Goodwin tournament at Harding Park Golf Club in San Francisco, California, March 29-31.
