May 31, 2018 Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's All-American Teams
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV's Bryson Stott was named to Collegiate Baseball's NCAA Division I All-American Baseball Third Team, as selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper staff. This is the second time Stott has been recognized by the organization after he was tabbed to its Freshman All-American Team last year.
Stott, a local product out of Desert Oasis High School, led the nation in doubles (30) and was third overall in doubles per game (0.51). He was seventh in hits (92), 19th in hits per game (1.56), 26th in runs (61), 28th in total bases (140), 55th in batting average (.365) and runs per game (1.03). Besides the aforementioned stats, he also paced the Rebels in at-bats (252), on-base percentage (.442) and stolen bases (14).
The shortstop started all 59 games. He reached base safely in 53 with hits in 48 of those. More impressively, he had 33 multiple-hit, 19 multiple-run and nine multiple-RBI games.
One week ago, Stott and teammate Kyle Isbel were named to the Mountain West's All-Conference First Team, while Nick Ames, Nick Rodriguez, Alan Strong and Bryan Menendez were Second Team honorees.
