COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's golf wrapped up the final round of the Coeur D'Alene Collegiate Invitational Tuesday in Idaho, finishing in 10th place at 33-over (885) after a third-round score of 14-over 298. The Rebels' second-round score Monday of 1-over 285 was the team's best single-round score through two tournaments in 2018.

Senior Elizabeth Prior and junior Nastasia Kossacky were the top finishers for the Scarlet and Gray after both carded a 5-over 218 for the tournament to finish in a tie for 20th. Both Prior and Kossacky turned in their top single rounds of the young season at the event as Prior shot a 3-under 68 in round two and Kossacky turned in an even round Tuesday to finish the tournament strong.

Illinois was the wire-to-wire winner, but only finished with five-stroke victory after an 18-shot margin heading into the final round Tuesday. San Jose State had the best round of the day at 5-under 279 to take second at 5-over 857, while the third-place finisher, Idaho, came in 12 shots behind the Spartans. SJSU's Abegail Arevalo began the day in a tie for ninth and shot one of just two individual rounds under par on the day - a 3-under 68 - to take medalist honors at 2-under 211. 

REBEL OF THE DAY: After a solid 74 and 73 in the first two rounds, Kossacky shot her best round of the fall Tuesday, nailing three birdies against three bogeys on the day to finish even.

NEXT UP FOR THE REBELS: The Rebels return home to host their annual Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Boulder Creek Golf Club October 21-23.

REBEL NOTES: 
- UNLV and senior Elizabeth Prior will both be defending titles at next month's home tournament at Boulder Creek Golf Club, where a year ago Prior tied the program record for lowest three-round score in program history after carding a 16-under to win medalist honors, which also led UNLV to the team title
- UNLV has four of five members back from its 2018 Mountain West Championship squad
- Last spring, the Rebels won three consecutive MW titles for the first time since they won three in a row from 2004-06
