The UNLV Athletics Department has launched a "Seats for Service" campaign to allow members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families the opportunity to attend Rebel sporting events during the 2019-20 seasons. Fans will be able to make contributions in $10 increments to the Seats for Service campaign through the UNLV Ticket Office. Every $10 contribution provides a ticket to a UNLV game for a deserving member of the Armed Forces and his or her family.
"We are so thankful for the men and women in our Armed Forces, and this is one way to show it," said Director of Athletics Desiree Reed-Francois. "The Seats for Service program would not exist without the support of our great fans, and seeing their participation only reassures my belief that we have some of the best fans in the country right here in Las Vegas."
To date, more than 250 tickets have been contributed by Rebel season ticket holders through the Seats for Service program.
Along with the brand-new "Seats for Service" campaign, UNLV Athletics will recognize the military, both active and veterans, during Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, October 6 when UNLV football hosts Boise State. At the event, members of the Armed Forces will be invited to form a tunnel as the Rebels take the field before the start of the game, and brave men and women from each branch will receive recognition. More information about Military Appreciation Night, and additional military-related promotions, will be announced this summer.
The Seats for Service program will remain open throughout the 2019-20 season, and fans wishing to participate can make their contribution through the UNLV ticket office online by clicking here, by phone at 702-739-FANS, or in person at the Thomas & Mack Center.
