LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's swimming and diving team will face in-state rival UNR in its first road meet of the season Saturday at Lombardi Pool. Fans can tune in to the Mountain West Digital Network to watch the live stream of the meet, which is scheduled to start at 10 am.
Coming into their third competition, the Rebels are led by senior Kate Afanasyeva, juniors
Teneka Ash and
Kristina Schneider and freshmen
Ruby Howell and
Blanka Bokros with top MW times on the season each. Afanasyeva's top 50 backstroke (25.48) and 100 backstroke (54.44) times, Howell's 200 IM (2:02.96) and 400 IM (4:21.30) marks, and Ash's 1000 free (10:12.65) and 1650 free (17:00.34), Schneider's 100 free (49.92) and Bokros' 200 breast (2:00.85) times give the Scarlet and Gray representation atop the MW top times list.
Meanwhile, the Rebel 'A' relay teams of Schneider, senior

Caitlyn Schreiber and Schneider, junior
Julia Filippova, senior
Camryn Wheals and
Lauren Smith lead the conference in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay, respectively. In addition, junior
Montse Moreno enters the weekend as UNLV's leader on the diving side after placing first in the 3-meter (532.15) and second in the 1-meter (521.00) at the Bruin Diving Invitational last weekend.
