LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Former collegiate player and longtime instructor Oliver Good has officially been named UNLV men's tennis assistant, head coach Owen Hambrook announced Tuesday.
Â
"We are excited to have Oliver join the program and he brings a lot of experience with a strong recruiting background," said Hambrook. "I have no doubt he will make us better as a team. What stood out to me from the beginning of the search is the strength of character and honesty that Oliver exhibits."
Â
Good comes to Las Vegas after serving as the managing director of a tennis recruiting service The College Recruit, in Melbourne, Australia, since 2017. He previously was a tennis pro at the Victorian Tennis Academy and director of tennis at tennis camps for Jim Courier Tennis in Hayman Island, Australia. Before that he spent one year as a prospect support specialist for NSR Australia.
Â
A graduate of Weber State, Good started his coaching career at his alma mater as a graduate assistant in 2014. As a player for the Wildcats he rose as high as 43rd in the nation in doubles and was a two-time team MVP and captain and helped WSU win the Big Sky Conference regular-season title in 2014.
"It is great to be here at UNLV," said Good. "This is a program that I had a lot of respect for as a player, and I thank Owen for the opportunity to work with a great group of guys who are keen to have a really strong season."

The UNLV men's team opens its spring season on January 28 by hosting New Mexico State.
