LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's soccer, riding a two-game shutout streak, will be back in action after an eight-day layoff when it takes on a pair of WAC opponents on the road. First up will be a Wednesday, 4 pm contest at new league member Dixie State in St. George, Utah. That will be followed by a Monday, April 5 match at San Jose State with a 7 pm start.
The Rebels have continued their strong defensive play this season in its last two games, as UNLV posted back-to-back 1-0 overtime shutout victories to move up to fourth in the WAC standings. Both those games were at home though, now UNLV will look to find its first road win of the season.
UNLV currently owns a 3-2-2 league mark, good for 11 points which has them two points behind Seattle and three behind UTRGV. Its first opponent of the week, Dixie State, has struggled in its first year in Division I play, owning a 2-5 record in league play, while they have three losses by four or more goals this year. San Jose State meanwhile started the season 1-1-2 before routing California Baptist 4-0 in its last contest.
