THE FINAL TURNING POINT: In a game that featured nine lead changes and five ties, Hamilton's 3-pointer with 2:16 left proved to be the difference, giving the Runnin' Rebels a 57-54 lead.

SHUTTING DOWN THEIR BEST: UNLV held Fresno State's leading scorer, Orlando Robinson, to just 3 of 14 shooting, limiting him to seven points and four rebounds. He entered the contest averaging 18.9 points per game, which ranked fifth in the Mountain West. In the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season, Robinson had a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

QUOTABLE: "I'm so proud of our guys, they just keep fighting. The two days of prep they had were very intense, very concentrated. They ask questions, continue to battle and accepted every challenge the staff gave them. Coach Hartman had the scout and put them in a lot of great scenarios that they saw tonight. I thought that they were ready." - UNLV head coach Kevin Kruger
