TURNING POINT: The game was a close one throughout the first 30 minutes as there were six lead changes and four ties, however with a one-point lead (54-53) with 12 minutes to play Utah State went on a 16-0 run to take a 17-point lead about five minutes later.

QUOTABLE: "Utah State is an elite offensive team. We just had some breakdowns and we were trying to play catch up. That's not what you want to do here against them. It just puts so much pressure on you to score that it makes it that much harder, and they're so good offensively that when they get a little bit of a cushion like that, they just keep playing with more and more confidence. That's what happened today." - UNLV head coach Kevin Kruger
