Rebels Split Series Against LMU

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV baseball team defeated the Lions in just seven innings during game two of the two-game series, 21-11, Tuesday afternoon at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. 

The Rebels saw their record improve to 26-12 (15-3 MW), while the Lions dropped to 13-23-1 (9-6 WCC). 

REBELS OF THE GAME: Austin Kryszczuk went 3-for-5 at the plate, with three back-to-back-to-back home runs scored for the Rebels. Rylan Charles was one homer away from hitting for the cycle, going 5-for-5 at the plate.

TURNING POINT: The ballgame was tied, 10-10, going into the bottom frame of the fifth inning, only for the Scarlet & Gray to tack on nine runs on eight hits to pull ahead.

Troy Balko (2-2) earned his second win of the season after pitching 1.2 innings of relief, allowing three runs off of four hits and one strikeout. 

Matt McClure (3-5) was saddled with the loss after pitching 0.2 innings of relief, allowing seven runs on six hits and zero strikeouts. 

UP NEXT: The Rebels will close out their 13-game homestand with a three-game conference series against New Mexico beginning Friday at 6:05 p.m.

GAME NOTES
- The Rebels had six home runs on the day, the most out of any game played this season. 
- Kryszczuk is the only Rebel to hit multiple home runs in one game, let alone one inning, on the season. 

PURCHASE TICKETS
Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6. 

All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV's new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
