LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – A grand slam by Edarian Williams put the UNLV baseball team at a 4-0 lead during the home half of the first frame to defeat UC Riverside, 12-1, during a single-game, midweek contest Tuesday afternoon at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
The Rebels saw their record improve to 20-9 (11-1 MW), while the Highlanders dropped to 4-22 (2-7 Big West).
REBEL OF THE GAME: Austin Kryszczuk went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Rebels with two doubles and a two-run homer.
Josh Sharman (2-0) earned his second win of the season, his first win was also against UCR on March 22, after pitching 5.0 innings and allowing one run on six hits and five punchouts.
Eric Marrujo (0-5) was saddled with the loss after pitching 4.0 innings, allowing five runs off of three hits and no strikeouts.
UP NEXT: The Rebels will continue their 13-game homestand with a three-game series against UNR beginning Friday at 6:05 p.m.
GAME NOTES
- The Rebels are currently on a six-game winning streak, the longest this season.
- The Rebels have gone 10-2 twice in conference play, once in 1986 in the Big West conference and again in 2003 in the Mountain West conference.

Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6.
All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV's new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
