FRIDAY'S PREVIEW...
Playing its only non-Saturday date of the regular season, UNLV (7-2/4-1) returns home to host Wyoming (6-3/3-2) for a key Mountain West matchup Friday night ... The game will be televised nationally by FS1 ... UNLV has started 4-0 at home for the first time since John Robinson's 2000 squad went 6-0 at Sam Boyd Stadium and dating back to last season, UNLV has won five straight and eight of its last 10 games played at Allegiant Stadium ... The Rebels have clinched a winning record and are bowl-eligible for the first time since playing in the Heart of Dallas Bowl after the 2013 season ... UNLV is 9-13-1 all-time in games played on Fridays ... Both of these teams come in off victories as the Rebels won at New Mexico, 56-14, while the Cowboys downed Colorado State at home, 24-15 ... The last time UNLV won at least seven of its first nine games was 1984 when Randall Cunningham lined up at QB ... All-America candidate Jacob De Jesus is the only player in college football to rank in the top 10 for both punt and kickoff returns. He sits second in PR with 22.1 yards per attempt and eighth in KOR with 27.8. His 96-yard KOR in the season opener was the fourth-longest in school history and his 59-yard punt return at UNM last week was the longest by a Rebel since 2003. In fact, his 112 yards on just two PR vs. the Lobos were more than ANY ENTIRE UNLV TEAM HAS POSTED IN A FULL SEASON SINCE 2014 ... The Rebels have won four of their first five league outings for the first time since going 5-1 in Big West play in 1994  ... The Rebs have shattered program records for 40+point games for both consecutive (four) and in a season (six) ... UNLV's current total of 28 rushing touchdowns is tied with Oregon for second in the nation behind only USC (29) ... UNLV is currently tied for sixth nationally in turnover margin at plus-nine -- powered by a dozen interceptions (T7th nationally) ... The Rebels sit fifth nationally in third-down conversion rate at 53.2% and their 75 third-down conversions are seven more than any other team. 

REBELS vs. COWBOYS NOTES...
WYO leads this wildly competitive series 14-11 overall but the Rebels are 7-6 all-time against the Pokes in Las Vegas ... Since the formation of the MW in 1999, UNLV has averaged 32.0 PPG vs. the Cowboys ... The most recent meeting between these programs came here in 2020 ...  Amazingly, four of UNLV's 17 all-time OT games have come against WYO and all of them took place in Las Vegas (1998, 2002, 2004 & 2016) ... Formerly a series of streaks, UNLV won the first three games by a total of 13 points. WYO then had a four-game winning streak before UNLV's five-game burst (1999-2003).
