LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team celebrated Super Bowl Sunday by winning its sixth straight match, 4-0 over UC San Diego, to complete a doubleheader sweep at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels improved their record at 6-1 while the Tritons fell to 3-7.

The hosts won both completed doubles matches to earn a 1-0 lead.

In singles, UNLV posted a trio of straight-setters in the bottom half of the lineup to end things.

The Rebels won the opening match vs. UCSD, also 4-0, earlier in the day.

Thomas Navarro won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles after teaming with
Eduardo Cohen to blank their opponents, 6-0, at No. 2 doubles.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team won a highly competitive doubles point to set the tone in a 4-0 victory over UC San Diego in the first of two matches on Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels improved their record to 5-1 while the Toreros fell to 3-6.

UNLV won on courts two and three by the identical score of 6-4 to take a 1-0 lead.
