Rebels Drop Series To No. 7 Razorbacks

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV baseball team (5-10, 1-2 MW) fell to No. 7 Arkansas (15-2) Wednesday by a score of 5-2 to close out the two-game series at Baum-Walker Stadium.

REBEL OF THE GAME: Edarian Williams went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and one stolen base for the Rebels.

TURNING POINT: Arkansas held a three-run lead going into the seventh inning, before the Scarlet & Gray were able to cut their deficit to just one after Razorbacks' right fielder Kendall Diggs committed an error, bringing two Rebels home to end the top of the frame. However, Arkansas answered back in the bottom of the eighth inning with a one-run double and an RBI single to take control of the game.

Ben Bybee (1-0) earned his first win of the season after throwing 5.0 innings and allowing only six hits with three strikeouts.
