Keylan Boone To Join UNLV Men's Basketball Program

6-foot-8-inch transfer played three seasons at Oklahoma State and one at Pacific.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball program has received a signed commitment from Keylan Boone to join the Runnin' Rebels for the 2023-24 season, head coach Kevin Kruger announced Wednesday.

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Boone is a transfer who played three seasons at Oklahoma State (2019-22) and one at Pacific (2022-23).

"We couldn't be more excited for Keylan to be joining the Runnin' Rebel program," Kruger said. "He is a proven wing scorer and we are looking forward to his continued growth as he is coming off of a season in which he had career highs in points per game as well as 3-point percentage. He will provide us with length and athleticism and has the ability to impact the game with his rebounding as well. His career resume really speaks for itself with the success that he had at both Oklahoma State and Pacific."

This past season at Pacific (2022-23), Boone scored a team-leading 13.9 points per game, while shooting 47.7% from the field and converting on 41.0% on his 3-point attempts. He added an average of 4.2 rebounds per game.

In a total of 27 games at Pacific, he made 20 starts and scored in double figures in 20 games, including five with 20 points or more. He scored a career-high 30 points in February against San Diego.

As a junior at Oklahoma State in 2021-22, Boone appeared in 27 games and scored 6.0 ppg, while adding 3.3 rpg. He scored a then-career-high 17 points off the bench in a win over No. 14 Texas, which marked one of five games that season scoring in double figures. While at Oklahoma State, he earned Academic All-Big 12 honors.
