LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's golf team will compete in Tucson, Arizona, this weekend at the 2023 Mountain West Championship Friday-Sunday, April 28-30 on the Raptor Course at OMNI Tucson National (Par 72, 7,194 yards). The 54-hole tournament is set to start with the first round on Friday.
Entering the conference event with some momentum, the Rebels posted two consecutive seventh-place finishes to close out the regular season at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic and San Jose State's Western Intercollegiate. The Scarlet & Gray shot a spring-low round of 11-under 277 in the first round of the Wyoming event, while senior
Yuki Moriyama (-6) finished second and junior
Caden Fioroni (-2) placed sixth to lead the team at the SJSU tournament.
THE FIELD: The list of 11 MW competitors includes No. 23 Colorado State, Air Force, Boise State, Fresno State, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, UNR, Utah State and Wyoming.
