LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's soccer team battled CSUN to a 0-0 draw Sunday afternoon at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

On a day with inclement weather in the forecast, the Rebels (0-1-1) stormed the Matadors (0-1-1) on the attack from opening kickoff with eight first-half shots. The Scarlet & Gray went on to finish the match with a 12-8 advantage in shot attempts and the upper hand in shots on goal by a 6-4 margin.

In one of their several opportunities, UNLV made a threatening charge in the second minute with a chance inside the box by Trinity Buchanan that sailed just above the crossbar.

Leading UNLV with multiple shots, Buchanan and her freshman counterpart Cassie Villanueva fired three attempts apiece, while Jules Dominguez and senior Nailah Harpring each notched two.

In her second start, sophomore goalkeeper Hanne Breur helped the Scarlet & Gray backline leave the match unscathed behind a four-save outing for her first shutout of the season.
