Runnin' Rebels Defeated By Air Force, 90-58

Rytis Petraitis recorded triple-double for Falcons Tuesday night at Thomas & Mack Center.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team was defeated by Air Force, 90-58, Tuesday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Rytis Petraitis led the Falcons (8-10, 1-5) with a triple-double of 18 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Four other Air Force players scored in double figures, led by Ethan Taylor's 22 points.

UNLV (9-9, 2-4) had three players in double figures, led by Justin Webster's 14 points before he suffered an injury and left the game with 11 minutes to go.

SHOOTING PERCENTAGES: Air Force shot 55.4% from the field (31 of 56), including 50% on 3-pointers (14 of 28), while UNLV was at 31.6% (18 of 57) and 17.9% (5 of 28), respectively.

OTHER NOTES:
- Both teams recorded just eight turnovers each, but Air Force outscored UNLV in points off turnovers 18-9.
- Air Force out-rebounded UNLV 37-31.
- Air Force had 25 assists on 31 made field goals, while UNLV had 12 on 18.
- Air Force led in points in the paint 32-22 and in bench scoring 23-17.
- Air Force held a 39-24 halftime lead.
- UNLV has made at least one 3-pointer in a NCAA-record 1,211 straight games.

NEXT FOR THE RUNNIN' REBELS: UNLV will be back on the road this Saturday at San Jose State. The 6 p.m. game will be televised nationally on FS1.
