WACO, Texas (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's basketball team fell 71-64 in a tough non-conference battle at RV/No. 23 Baylor (9-2) on Sunday afternoon at Foster Pavilion. The Lady Rebels (6-3) still hold the all-time series 4-1.

The Scarlet & Gray had four players score in double-figures and were led by senior guard
Kiara Jackson's 18 points. Jackson also led the squad in rebounds with seven and in assists with a career-high tying nine. Jackson shot 7-for-13 from the field, 3-for-6 from three and was 1-for-2 from the free throw line. Sophomore guard
Amarachi Kimpson was the second-leading scorer on the squad with 13 points and had a team-high three steals. Senior forward

McKinna Brackens each collected 10 points.

The Bears were led by Darianna Littlepage-Buggs' double-double of 21 points and 20 rebounds. Sarah Andrews added 18 points and seven rebounds, respectively.

STAT OF THE GAME: The Lady Rebels and Bears nearly shot the same from the field, but Baylor shot 40.7% (24 of 59) compared to UNLV's 37.7% (23 of 61). The Scarlet & Gray shot better than Baylor from the three-point line, shooting 10-for-27 (37.0%) compared to the Bears' 2-for-9 (22.2%).

OTHER NOTES:
- Jackson has now jumped into the top-10 career leaders assist list. She now has 354 career assists.
- The Lady Rebels forced 14 Bear turnovers and scored 17 points off them.
- Baylor out-rebounded UNLV 46-31.
- There were eight lead changes and six times the two squads were tied.
- Kimpson had a team-high three steals.
