LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's basketball team earned a huge 95-68 victory over Air Force on Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Lady Rebels have now won 23 straight games against Air Force and continue to hold the overall series 51-5.

The Lady Rebels (22-2, 12-1 MW) had four players in double-digits and were led by
Desi-Rae Young with 19 points by shooting 7-for-9 from the field and was 5-for-6 from the free throw line. Young also led the squad in rebounds with nine (one offensive, eight defensive).
Kiara Jackson was the second-leading scorer for UNLV with 14 points by shooting 6-for-10 from the field, was a perfect 2-for-2 at the free throw line and dished a team-high eight rebounds.
The Falcons (12-15, 5-9) were led by Milahnie Perry with 23 points and Alexis Cortez added 18 points.

CONTROLLED FROM THE START: UNLV came out firing and put up 24 points in just the first quarter and held Air Force to 12 points. The Lady Rebels then did not let up and continued to increase the advantage and were up 49-26 heading into the break. UNLV controlled throughout the game to secure the victory.

SHOOTING PERCENTAGE: The Lady Rebels had their best shooting game thus far shooting 37-for-62 from the field (59.7%). In the first half, UNLV shot 61.8% (21 of 34) from the field in the first half and 57.1% (16 of 28) for the second half.

The Falcons shot 37.1% (26 of 70) from the field for the game and 26.1% (6 of 23) for three-pointers. In the first half, Air Force shot 32.4% (11 of 34) from the field and in the second half shot 41.7% (15 of 36).

OTHER NOTES:
- The Lady Rebels out-rebounded the Falcons 42-33.
- UNLV had 64 of its points in the paint.
- The Lady Rebels bench was feeling it tonight and scored 42 points, which includes Jasmyn Lott putting up 12 points and Nneka Obiazor adding 10.
- UNLV had three blocked shots compared to Air Force not having a blocked shot.
- The Lady Rebels forced 9 Falcons' turnovers and scored 15 points off them.
