LOGAN, Utah (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 23 UNLV women's basketball team dropped another 100-point game after defeating Utah State 104-44 on Tuesday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in the Mountain West regular season finale. The Lady Rebels earned their 12th straight win and are now 19-0 on the road in MW play.

For the second straight game, the Lady Rebels (27-2, 17-1) had six players in double-digits. UNLV was led by
Nneka Obiazor with 16 points by shooting 6-for-9 from the field and was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line. Obiazor came into the game with 985 career points and with her 16 tonight, she now has 1,001 career-points.
McKinna Brackens and
Amarachi Kimpson each had 14 points. Brackens' 14 points are a career-high and she also dished a career-high four assists. Kimpson led the squad with a career-high seven assists.

The Aggies (5-24, 2-16) were led by Livia Knapp with nine points and Tiairra Hill-Brown added eight. Cheyenne Stubbs was held to only seven points and no rebounds.

GAME OF BIG RUNS: After UNLV made the first bucket of the game, Utah State scored four straight points. The Lady Rebels countered with eight straight points and then went on a 11-7 run to close out the first quarter. In the second quarter, UNLV had seven consecutive points before Utah State was at the free throw line to drain two. The Lady Rebels then went on their best scoring run of the night with 19-points and closed out the quarter with a layup. In just the second quarter alone, UNLV was 28-3 in points over Utah State. After the half, the Lady Rebels and Aggies went back-and-forth, but with less than three minutes left in the third UNLV began another run after already increasing their lead to 40-points, 67-27. The Lady Rebels scored 13 points going into the fourth quarter, and scored the first basket of the final frame. As the quarter was coming to a close, UNLV went on a 12-6 scoring run to collect the victory.

DEFENSIVE EFFORT: UNLV held Utah State to just three points (0-for-11 field goals, 0-for-3 three-points 3-for-4 free throws) in the second quarter, and only allowed 14 for the first half (4-for-24 field goals, 0-for-6 three-points and 6-for-7 free throws). For the game, the Lady Rebels only allowed the Aggies to shoot 28.3% from the field (15-for-53), 25.0% from the three-point line (5-for-20) and 56.3% from the free throw line (9-for-16).

OTHER NOTES:
- UNLV's 104 points scored tonight was the second most this season in a game. The first was 107 against Utah State on Dec. 30, 2023. This is the third time this season UNLV scored 100 or more points against MW foes and the fourth time this season the Lady Rebels have scored 100 or more points.
- The Lady Rebels dished 24 assists, which was the second-most this season.
- Desi-Rae Young and Kiara Jackson each collected 11 points, while Ashley Scoggin drained 10 points, respectively.
- Alyssa Brown was the rebounder leader with 12.
- Alyssa Durazo-Frescas tied her career-high in rebounds with seven; Macy Spencer had a career-high three rebounds.
- Erica Collins tallied a career-high eight points by shooting 4-for-4 from the field. She also had a career-high two steals.
- UNLV out-rebounded Utah State 49-20.
- The Lady Rebels scored 52 points in the paint compared to the Aggies' 16.
- UNLV's bench continues to help dominate and put up 57 of the 104 points.
- The Lady Rebels forced 12 Aggie turnovers and scored 23 points off them.

UP NEXT: The Lady Rebels will stay in town for the Mountain West Conference Tournament at the Thomas & Mack beginning on Sunday, March 10. UNLV is the No. 1 seed heading into the tournament and will have a first-round bye and play on Monday, March 11 at 12 p.m. against the winner of No.8 Air Force vs. No. 9 Fresno State.
