LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team will open play at the Mountain West Championship by facing New Mexico in Wednesday's quarterfinal round.
Â
For the second straight spring, the event is being hosted in Las Vegas at the Amanda and Stacy Darling Tennis Center.
Â
The Rebels, 8-11 overall and seeded sixth after ending 1-4 in the MW, did not face the third-seeded Lobos during the regular season because rain washed away their scheduled meeting on March 30 in Las Vegas.
Â
The winner will move on to Thursday's semifinal vs. the winner of No. 2 seed Boise State and No. 7 seed Air Force. The championship match is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday. The winner earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament.
Â
All matches at the tournament will be streamed on PlaySight. Links to the live broadcast and in-match stats can be found on TheMW.com. For more information on the 2024 Mountain West Men's Tennis Championship, visit Championship Central at TheMW.com.
