LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Despite holding a first-half lead, a pair of second-half visitor goals spelled misfortune for UNLV women's soccer as it fell to new Mountain West foe Grand Canyon, 2-1, Sunday at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

Senior Kylie Camp slid in a 32nd-minute goal from 18 yards to give UNLV (3-8-4, 1-2-3 MW) a 1-0 advantage following passes from senior Michelle Madrid and freshman Julia Salem. The Lopes (8-6-0, 3-3-0 MW) responded with a 50th-minute score and a penalty-kick goal in the 80th minute that followed a replay review.
