LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — The UNLV men's soccer team will play its final two matches of the regular season vs. Utah Valley and San Jose State as part of a busy final home weekend.
The Rebels are celebrating their three seniors (
Cesar Carbajal;
Jonah Craig;
Lucas Gelebart) prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff against the Wolverines Thursday, Oct. 23 for Senior Night. The action continues Sunday, Oct. 26 as the UNLV Soccer Foundation will provide free food and drinks as part of pregame tailgate festivities starting at 5 p.m. before the 6 p.m. match vs. the Spartans.
Entering the contests unbeaten in WAC play, the Scarlet & Gray (4-4-5, 1-0-3 WAC) looks to secure its spot in the WAC Tournament and contend for a regular season title just one point out of first place. UVU (8-2-1, 2-2 WAC), which also stands within one point of first in the league standings, aims for its first victory on the road in league competition and to bounce back from a loss. SJSU (1-10-2, 1-2-1 WAC), meanwhile, is eager to extend its point streak after a recent draw to remain alive for a conference tournament appearance.

- UNLV is now undefeated through four league matches for the first time since 2014.
- After a shutout victory over Air Force, the Scarlet & Gray backline and junior goalkeeper Hugo Lemos have collected two conference clean sheets and five overall this year.
- Along with their non-conference finale victory over UC Irvine, the Rebels have extended their overall unbeaten streak to five matches.
