Rebels Rally From Three-Goal Deficit For Senior Night Draw Vs. Utah Valley

UNLV is now unbeaten in conference play through five matches for the first time since 1987

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV men's soccer rallied from a three-score deficit with three unanswered goals late to earn a 3-3 draw on Senior Night vs. Utah Valley to remain unbeaten in WAC play Thursday at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

After the Wolverines' (8-2-2, 2-2-1 WAC) third score in the 66th minute, the Rebels (4-4-6, 1-0-4 WAC) responded with two goals in 45 seconds with a 67th-minute score by sophomore Manolo Vazquez and a 68th-minute score by junior Bryce Allred. Less than 20 minutes later, Allred completed both his first career brace and the Scarlet & Gray comeback with an 85th-minute equalizer on a header in the box.

With the result, UNLV is now undefeated through five conference matches for the first time since 1987 when it was a member of the Big West.

STAT OF THE GAME: All three of the Rebels' goals came off double assists, including two helpers by sophomore Sawyer Crisostomo to spark the rally on the squad's first two scores. Senior Jonah Craig added an assist on Vazquez's goal, while junior Tyler Ware joined in on the first Allred goal. On the third score, senior Lucas Gélébart and junior Mikah Madrid set up the contest's final goal.

QUOTABLE: "We didn't play the first half the way we wanted to and we got down, but a lot of credit goes to the heart of this team. What has carried us these last few games is the fight and determination of the guys to never give in. Overall, I'm really proud of our guys and we'll take the point. At the end of the day, we've still got to play a full 90 minutes to win championships and that will be key moving forward."

UP NEXT: The Rebels will continue in pursuit of a WAC tournament spot in their home finale Sunday at 6 p.m. vs. San Jose State. A tailgate with free food and drinks provided by the UNLV Soccer Foundation will be held at 5 p.m.

NOTES:
  • Allred's goal gave him the team lead in goals with four and points with nine on the season.
  • Gélébart and Madrid became the eighth and ninth Rebels to record an assist during the 2025 campaign, respectively.
  • Along with their non-conference finale victory over UC Irvine, the Rebels have extended their overall unbeaten streak to six matches.
  • Prior to the match, the Rebels honored seniors Cesar Carbajal, Lucas Gélébart and Jonah Craig.
