SATURDAY'S PREVIEW...
UNLV (6-2/2-2) will make its first trip to Fort Collins in six years for a Saturday evening matchup with Colorado State (2-6/1-3) ... The Rebels did not receive at least one vote in either the AP or Coaches' polls this week for the first time in two years -- ending a school-record streak of 29 straight polls ... Despite losing back-to-back games for the first time since December 2023, UNLV has earned bowl-eligibility for the third straight season for the first time ever and has six wins in the first eight games for just the third time since 1984 ... UNLV is tied with BYU to lead all of college football with nine road wins since the start of last season ... Head coach Dan Mullen was the first UNLV coach to begin his career in Las Vegas 6-0 since the program's inaugural season of 1968 when original coach Bill Ireland started 8-0 on the Division II level ... UNLV is tied for 10th overall in turnover margin at plus-8 and 12th for interceptions brought in with 11 and sixth with three defensive touchdowns ... Since falling 35-7 at eventual national champion Michigan in the second game of 2023, UNLV has scored at least 20 points in each of its last 30 regular-season games. That's the second-longest active such streak in the FBS, behind only Memphis (45 straight) ... The Rebels, who sit 16th in the nation with 36.9 points per game, have also scored at least 30 points in their first eight games of the season to extend the record for consecutive 30-point outings at the school. The previous mark was five in the middle of the 1974 season under future NFL coach Ron Meyer. The only other team in the FBS to have scored at least 30 points in every game this season is North Texas, which has played nine times.

REBELS vs. RAMS NOTES... 
It has been six years since the Rebels and Rams have faced each other in Colorado as their last scheduled matchup in Fort Collins in 2020 was canceled three days before kickoff because of positive Covid-19 tests ... UNLV won the most recent meeting, 25-23, in Las Vegas in 2023 but CSU leads the all-time series 17-7-1 and has won seven straight against the Rebels in Fort Collins ... CSU interim head coach Tyson Summers served as a defensive analyst at Florida during Dan Mullen's final season leading the Gators in 2021 ... Third-year UNLV DL coach Ricky Logo oversaw that same position group at CSU from 2015-17 ... UNLV has one player on its roster from the Centennial State, DL Mohamed Altayeb from Castle Rock (Denver East HS).
