2025 Football Schedule Released

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV football, coming off its first-ever end-of-season national ranking and a second-consecutive league championship game appearance, will open its home schedule with a visit from Big Ten Conference member UCLA and close with a trip to Reno for the annual Battle for the Fremont Cannon vs. UNR as the tentative league-wide schedule was released Thursday by the Mountain West.

First-year head coach Dan Mullen's team will kick off the Rebels' 58th season of football on Saturday, August 30 by heading to Sam Houston for the first of four consecutive non-conference outings.

UNLV will welcome the Bruins to Allegiant Stadium on September 6 in what is just the third meeting between the programs and the second in Las Vegas (2015). Week Three will see Idaho State from the Big Sky Conference come to town before the Rebels travel to face Miami of Ohio for the first time in history on September 20.

After the first of two off weeks in 2025, UNLV opens Mountain West play October 4 by going to Wyoming for the first time since 2019. Air Force then visits Allegiant Stadium for just the second time on October 11. One week later, the Rebels face Boise State for the fourth time in the last 23 months -- but the Scarlet & Gray travel to take on the Broncos for a regular-season matchup for the first time since 2016.

After the second bye, New Mexico will come in November 1 for the first of three home games that month. UNLV heads to Colorado State for the first time in six seasons on November 8 before hosting Utah State on November 15. The following week, the Rebels welcome Hawai'i to defend the famed golden pineapple trophy on November 22 as part of the Ninth Island Showdown sponsored by the California Hotel.

The regular season comes to a close November 29 with the annual in-state rivalry game as the Rebels head north. That 51st meeting with the Wolf Pack is a featured part of the Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union.

UNLV, which won 11 games last season, including its first bowl victory in 24 years, will look to earn a third-straight spot in the Old Trapper Mountain West Football Championship Game set for Friday, December 5.

"Very excited about our schedule," said Mullen. "There are great home games for Rebel fans to come and enjoy watching their team play. It's going to be a very competitive season in the Mountain West this fall so we need the support of the Rebel Family every single week to help give us the best home-field advantage in the conference. We're going to go out and put on a great show here in Las Vegas!"

Thursday's announcement represents the first phase in the 2025 football schedule process. Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports will now initiate a selection procedure that will include the shifting of particular games to non-Saturday dates. That will be followed by the identification of network outlets and kick times.
