LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV softball team dropped in game two against Boise State, 10-2, in five innings on Friday at Eller Media Stadium.

The Rebels (18-16, 2-6 MW) were led by
Ariana Martinez,
Jesse Farrell and
Sofia Morales who each had a hit against the Broncos (24-11, 3-5 MW). Martinez and Farrell both had solo home runs on the day.

HOW IT WENT DOWN: Boise State jumped out front in the top of the first inning, 4-0, scoring four runs on three hits. The Rebels cut the deficit to three in the bottom of the first inning on an
Ariana Martinez homer over the center field wall, 4-1. The Broncos tallied another run in the top of the second on a home run to increase the lead to 5-1. In the bottom half of the second,
Jesse Farrell went yard over the left field wall to get UNLV back within three, 5-2. In the top of the third, Boise State added another run on an infield single and made it 6-2. The Rebels were held off the board in the bottom half of the third. The Broncos collected four more runs in the top of the fourth on three hits and made it 10-2. In the bottom of the fifth inning, UNLV was able to get one runner on, but were retired on two loud outs to the outfield.

OTHER NOTES:
- Martinez reached base in every at-bat, which included two walks.
- Bri Williams and Diamond Sefe each drew a walk against Boise State.
- Martinez is now on a six-game hitting and on-base streak.
- Williams has now reached base in seven straight games.
- Morales is on a four-game on-base streak.
