UNLV will make its 23rd appearance in the history of the program at the national finals

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV will make the storied program's 23rd appearance at the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa (Par 72, 7,548 yards) in Carlsbad, California, starting Friday.

THE LINEUP: Senior Caden Fioroni, sophomore Zach Little, junior Wyatt Plattner, senior Trevor Lewis and junior Brett Sawaia will represent the Rebels.

THE FIELD: Arizona State, Auburn, Augusta, BYU, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kennesaw State, Michigan, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Pepperdine, Purdue, San Diego, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennesee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, Troy, UCLA, UNLV, Utah, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wake Forest.

FORMAT: The top 15 teams and top nine individuals not on those teams through three rounds of stroke play will advance to Monday's additional day of stroke play. Following 72 holes, the top eight teams will advance to match play and the individual champion will be determined. Match play will begin Tuesday and a team champion will be decided in Wednesday's finale.

BROADCAST: Golf Channel coverage is scheduled to air Monday-Wednesday, including the final 15 teams competing in stroke play and all of match play.

Friday, May 23: 7:25 a.m. PT - Brett Sawaia; 7:36 a.m. PT - Trevor Lewis; 7:47 a.m. - Wyatt Plattner; 7:58 a.m. - Zach Little; 8:09 a.m. PT - Caden Fioroni.
Saturday, May 24: Tee times begin at 12:45 p.m. PT.
Sunday, May 25: To be determined according to 36-hole standings.

HISTORY: The Rebels, who return to the national championship event for the first time since 2019, hold one team national championship and two individual national championships in the history of the program. Their team title came in 1998 at The Championship Course in Albuquerque, New Mexico, while the individual trophies were captured by Warren Schutte in 1991 and Ryan Moore in 2004.

NOTES:
  • During the 2024-25 campaign, UNLV has notched nine top-6 team performances during the regular season, including first-place finishes at SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational and Hawai'i's John A. Burns Intercollegiate.
  • The Scarlet & Gray advanced to the NCAA Championships out of the Urbana Regional, where it finished third as a team and Fioroni individually grabbed a second-place finish
  • Additionally, two Rebels have earned individual medalist honors this season with Fioroni's victory at the Southern Highlands Collegiate and Little's win at the Burns Intercollegiate.
  • Fioroni and Little each represented the Rebels on the Mountain West All-Conference Team.
