LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – For the third consecutive year and for the 10th time in the award's 13-year history, the UNLV Athletics Department is the winner of the Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union.
 
With all points now assigned, the Rebels took the all-encompassing competition with the Wolf Pack by the final score of 27-21.
 
The series was tied at 6 after the fall sports concluded, with the Rebels earning points from volleyball and football, which again included ownership of the famed Fremont Cannon. UNLV would earn another three points when its women's basketball team swept the Wolf Pack on the hardwood en route to another Mountain West regular-season crown.
 
Also adding three points for the Scarlet & Gray this year was indoor track & field, men's golf, women's golf and, most recently, baseball. Earlier in the calendar, both men's basketball and women's swimming & diving split their matchups to divide the points, adding 1.5 each to their respective total. UNLV clinched the overall victory earlier this month with three points from the academic side when APR scores were released.
 
The Wolf Pack compiled its wins this time around in women's soccer, cross country, outdoor track & field, softball, and men's and women's tennis to go with the two split sports.
