LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV Athletics has announced an exciting lineup of theme games for the 2025 football season at Allegiant Stadium, including the annual Homecoming game taking place on October 11. In addition, the kickoff time for the season-opening game vs. Idaho State on August 23 has been set for 1 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 23 vs. Idaho State at 1 p.m. – Extra Yard for Teachers and Pro Sports Day

We kick off the season by honoring our local teachers. Special tributes and on-field recognitions will be part of the festivities.

Saturday, Sept. 6 vs. UCLA at 5 p.m. – Hispanic Heritage Night

Presented by: America First Credit Union

Celebrate the rich and diverse Hispanic culture with us. The day will feature cultural performances, themed activities and special guest appearances to honor the contributions of the Las Vegas Hispanic community.

Saturday, Oct. 11 vs. Air Force at 12:30 p.m. – Homecoming and Breast Cancer Awareness Day and Las Vegas Bowl Championship Team 25th Anniversary Recognition

Welcome back, alumni! The Homecoming football game is the culmination of a week of events on campus. Alumni recognitions will take place throughout the game with the crowning of the Homecoming Court taking place during halftime. Speaking of alumni, the 2000 Las Vegas Bowl championship team will be celebrated during the game. UNLV faculty & staff will have a special ticket offer to join in the festivities. Additionally, we will raise awareness and support for breast cancer research and survivors.

Saturday, Nov. 1 vs. New Mexico  at 12 p.m. – Native American Heritage, Scout, and Faith & Family Day

Celebrate Native American culture with us. The day will feature cultural performances and appearances to honor the contributions of the Las Vegas Native American community.

Saturday, Nov. 15 vs. Utah State  at 4 p.m. – Military Appreciation, Health Care Workers, High School Band Day and Cheer & Dance Extravaganza 

Presented by: Intermountain Health

We salute our servicemen and women during this special night dedicated to honoring the military. The UNLV band will perform a patriotic halftime show and veterans will be recognized throughout the game.

Friday, Nov. 21 vs. Hawai'i  at 7:30 p.m. – Ninth Island Showdown, First Responders & Union Worker Appreciation Night

Presented by: The California Hotel Casino

The home season culminates in the Ninth Island Showdown against the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors. Fans are encouraged to get to the game early for a special ceremony recognizing the senior class.
