Rebels Hold Redhawks Scoreless In Seattle For Draw

Backed by junior Hugo Lemos' two saves, UNLV's backline picked up its first shutout of the season

SEATTLE (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV men's soccer held Seattle scoreless on the way to a draw in their first road match of the year Thursday at Championship Field.

The Rebels' (1-0-1) backline, backed by junior goalkeeper Hugo Lemos, picked up its first shutout of the season after deterring 12 shots by the Redhawks (0-2-1) to keep their squad unbeaten through two matches. Lemos made two saves in 90 minutes of net duty for his 10th career clean sheet.

On the attack, the Scarlet & Gray finished the match with two shots on goal. Those came off the boots of Claudio Lopez Alos in the 40th minute and Joaquin Eisenberg with the last chance for either team in the 87th minute.
