LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV football senior Marsel McDuffie has been named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Tuesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

A native of Grand Prairie, Texas, McDuffie recorded 10 total tackles, including one TFL, to go along with a pass breakup, a fumble recovery and the game-sealing interception in a road win at Miami (OH).

With 2:32 remaining in the fourth quarter, he recovered a key fumble which allowed UNLV to rumble down field for the game-winning field goal. On the final play of the game, McDuffie intercepted a pass to secure the win.
