LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — A pair of second-half goals downed UNLV men's soccer Friday as it fell to UC Riverside, 2-0, at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

The Rebel backline (1-2-1) kept a lock on the net and allowed just one shot on goal in the first half before the Highlanders (1-2-1) broke through with goals in the 49th minute and 86th minute.

In spite of the outcome, the Scarlet & Gray continued to provide pressure on the attack, finishing with double-digit shot attempts for the first time this season behind 11 total targets. Those included shots on goal from junior forward Tyler Ware, freshman defender Angello Ssempijja and sophomore defender Sawyer Crisostomo
