LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Six members of the UNLV football program met criteria for 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All‐District status.
To be eligible, players must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average in at least their second year and be a starter or key reserve for their teams, appearing in at least 90-percent of games.
All six Rebels qualified for the first time this season..
Redshirt freshman defensive back
Jaylen Allen holds a 3.67 grade point average in kinesiological studies. The graduate of Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas appeared in all but one game this fall.
Sophomore defensive lineman
Lucas Conti (Corona, CA) boasted a 3.53 GPA. The communication studies major was a starter up front and four of his 22 total tackles were for a loss and 2.5 were quarterback sacks.
Senior specialist
Caden Costa (Mandeville, LA) kicked off for the Rebels in every game after transferring in from Memphis. He held a 3.72 combined cumulative GPA while pursuing his graduate certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Junior wide receiver
DeAngelo Irvin Jr. (Midwest City, OK) held a 3.51 GPA in management while grabbing 18 receptions for 188 yards and a touchdown. He also led the team with 12 punt returns.
Senior specialist
Andrew Mcilquham (Groton, CT) appeared in every game as UNLV's starting longsnapper in 2025 after transferring in from Temple. His 3.54 GPA included pursuing his graduate certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Senior offensive lineman
Reid Williams (Ringgold, GA) was one of the league's top centers after coming in from UT Chattanooga, earning Second Team All-Mountain West honors while building a 3.94 GPA while pursuing his MBA.
