Mircheva, Hawkins Both Advance In Singles And Doubles - University of Nevada Las Vegas Athletics

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV will send two players into the quarterfinal round of singles along with one doubles team into the semifinals after day two on Thursday at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Fall Women's Tennis Championships being staged at the Darling Tennis Center.

The tourney runs through Sunday with all winners earning bids into the ITA Conference Masters, which is a feed-in event for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships next month.

In the round of 16 in singles, third-seeded Nikol Mircheva swept Delilah Rizvi of UC Davis, 6-2, 6-3; and fifth-seeded Hudson Hawkins downed Ramey Yu, also of UCD, 6-2, 6-2.

In the doubles quarterfinals, the top-seeded duo of Mircheva and Hawkins had little trouble advancing, downing Emma Fantusis and Soledad Capilla of San Jose State, 8-2.

Women's singles quarterfinals and doubles semifinals are scheduled for Friday.
