Women's Tennis Duo To Play For MW TItle Saturday - University of Nevada Las Vegas Athletics

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's top pairing will play for the doubles crown at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Fall Women's Tennis Championships presented by Palms Casino Resort, which is being staged at the Darling Tennis Center.

The tourney runs through Sunday with all winners earning bids into the ITA Conference Masters, which is a feed-in event for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships next month.

In the quarterfinal round of singles, third-seeded Nikol Mircheva downed Kennedy Robinson of UNR, 6-4 6-3; and fifth-seeded Hudson Hawkins rallied past fourth-seeded Tennielle Madis of Hawai'i, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. They will both face their semifinal opponents on Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m.

In the doubles semifinals, the top-seeded duo of Mircheva and Hawkins won a nail-biter over fourth-seeded Tennielle Madis and Grete Gull of Hawai'i, 7-5, 6-7, 1-0 (12-10 in the super-tiebreaker). They will now face second-seeded Isabella Crossman and Gala Arangio of Grand Canyon in Saturday's doubles championship, which is scheduled to begin approximately 12 pm.
